Former ISR Visiting Assistant Professor Shun Watanabe has joined the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology as an associate professor.

At ISR, Watanabe worked on network information theory with Professor Prakash Narayan (ECE/ISR) from 2013 to April 2015.

Prior to his work with ISR, Watanabe was an assistant professor of the Department of Information Science and Intelligence Systems at the University of Tokushima in Japan from 2009-2015. His research interests are in Information Theory, Network Information Theory, Information Theoretic Security, Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Cryptography.
