Associate Professor Mark Austin (CEE/ISR), his student Parastoo Delgoshaei and alumnus Alan Nguyen (ENSE 2014), won the MITRE Best Transition in Systems Engineering Research Award at the Conference on Systems Engineering Research (CSER), March 18. Their paper was entitled, ?Distributed System Behavior Modeling with Ontologies, Rules and Message Passing Mechanisms.?
Delgoshaei is a 2012 MSSE graduate who is currently in the CEE Civil Systems Ph.D. program. Nguyen is currently a staff technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton.
The MITRE award recognizes the research paper presented at CSER that best describes the practices that led to, or are leading to an influential transition of systems engineering research into systems engineering practice.
