Assistant Professor Alireza Khaligh (ECE/ISR) has been chosen as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS), starting July 2014.
Khaligh will deliver lectures at various VTS chapter meetings during his two-year appointment. His subject area will be power electronics in transportation electrification, mainly on electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
His specific topics include:
-- Wide Range Efficiency Enhancement of Onboard Chargers for Electric Vehicles
-- Hybrid Energy Storage Systems for Plug-In Electric Vehicles
-- Perspective for the Next Generation of On-board and Off-board Chargers for Electric Vehicles
The VTS Distinguished Lecturer Program provides VTS chapters throughout the world with presentations by leading experts in radio channel measurements and models, LTE and cellular systems, cooperative and green communication, wireless heterogeneous networks, vehicular communications and ad hoc networks, signal processing and digital transmission, information and network security, intelligent transportation, vehicular electronics and vehicular power and propulsion
