Six students mentored by ISR faculty are among those selected for the A. James Clark School of Engineering?s 2012 Future Faculty Program. The program, launched in 2007, was created to prepare students for academic careers in top-50 engineering schools. The program helps them hone their skills in technical and grant writing, curriculum development, teaching, research, oral presentations and interviewing. It includes seminars, a teaching practicum, and a research mentoring practicum, and takes 3-5 semesters to complete. Participants are known as Future Faculty Fellows.

ISR students in the 2012 program are:

Omur Ozel (ECE), advised by Professor Sennur Ulukus (ECE/ISR)

Ravi Garg (ECE), advised by Professor Min Wu (ECE/UMIACS)

Ivan Penskiy (ME), advised by Assistant Professor Sarah Bergbreiter (ME/ISR)

Timir Baran Datta-Chaudhuri (ECE), advised by Associate Professor Pamela Abshire (ECE/ISR) and Professor Elisabeth Smela (ME)
