Dr. Vikram Manikonda has announced that Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) will be providing financial sponsorship for ISR's colloquia series, now named the ?Intelligent Automation, Inc. Colloquia Series at the Institute for Systems Research."

Manikonda is IAI's president and a member of the ISR Strategic Advisory Council. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland in 1997, advised by Professor P.S. Krishnaprasad (ECE/ISR).

Manikonda and other IAI representatives will be on hand for the first colloquium of the semester on February 2, at 4:00 p.m. in AV Williams room 1146. Professor S.K. Gupta's talk is titled "Towards Simulation-Based Computational Synthesis."

ISR thanks Manikonda and IAI for this generous sponsorship, which makes the continuation of this community-building colloquia series possible.

The spring semester speakers are:
February 2: Professor S.K. Gupta (ISR/ME)
March 2: Associate Research Scientist Dr. Jonathan Fritz (ISR)
April 6: Professor John Baras (ISR/ECE)
May 4: Associate Professor Rajeev Barua (ISR/ECE)
