Alumnus Jason Li (EE Ph.D. 2002) has been promoted to the position of vice president, research and development at Intelligent Automation, Inc. As Vice President, Li will expand his contributions to IAI company-wide collaborative efforts to cross new research frontiers and to build products, provide services and serve clients based on that research. Li will also continue to provide leadership as Senior Director of the Networks and Security Group.
?Under Jason?s leadership and in partnership with his management, the Networks and Security Group has done outstanding work, built a strong and enduring connection to its clients and has steadily grown,? said Dr. Joseph Schwartz, CEO of IAI.
At Maryland, Li's advisor was Professor John Baras (ECE/ISR). After serving at Hughes Network Systems, Li joined IAI in January 2005. He was promoted to Director in 2008 and to Senior Director in 2012.
