In July ISR said goodbye to two Honda Visiting Scientists, Mr. Takeo Yokoyama and Mr. Yoshihiko Eguchi. The pair had been at ISR for a 14-month visit, participating in research with University of Maryland faculty while polishing their English skills and learning about American culture. Mr. Yokoyama gave a final presentation on his work with Mechanical Engineering Associate Professor David Holloway on the Future Truck program. Mr. Eguchi spoke about his work with Mechanical Engineering Professor Kenneth Kiger on turbulence and transition in cardiovascular circulation. Mr. Yokoyama is a chassis designer in the motorcycle body design division of Honda R&D Co. in Japan. Mr. Eguchi is a noise-damping and exhaust systems engineer in Honda R&D's automobile body development department. | More information about ISR?s Visiting Scientists Program |
