ISR-affiliated Professor James Hendler (CS/ISR) is the Principal Investigator for a three-year, $100,000 NSF ITR award for "Profile-Aware Web: Rules, Proofs and Trust on the Semantic Web." The project will investigate policies for the semantic web, such as the web rules language. This will be expanded to include the specification of security and privacy policies. It also will develop an inference engine to reason about privacy and trust policies for the semantic web and develop algorithms to enforce the policies.
