ISR recently held an alumni networking reception hosted by Gayathri and Manav Kher at their fusionSPAN office in Washington, D.C. The 36 attendees included 22 alumni, plus University of Maryland faculty, students, staff and company representatives. The evening was filled with lively discussions, a chance to renew and make new accquaintances, and a wonderful presentation by alumna Aastha Verma from Catalist.

ISR has held three alumni events since 2014; each has helped the institute develop a more connected and robust community. ISR will continue to organize alumni gatherings in the spring and fall, and encourages its alumni to network with one another and initiate their own activities.

Alumni and friends can show support and commitment to ISR are to join the institute?s alumni network LinkedIn group. This group helps alumni stay informed, build their professional networks, and see photos from ISR?s various events. Alumni area also encouraged to contribute to the ISR Fellowship Fund.
