Congratulations to the student team of Marshall Miller from the University of Maryland and Guarav Singal from Columbia University for winning the RITE program award at this year's MERIT Fair. The team, mentored by Assistant Professor Timothy Horiuchi (ECE/ISR), won for their project, "Multi-Echo Integration for Sonar-Based Vehicle Navigation."

Maryland Engineering Research Internship Teams (MERIT) is an 11-week summer research program for undergraduates administered by the ECE Department and supported by the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Laboratory. The "MERIT Fair" is held at the end to showcase of the research conducted during the summer.
