Associate Professor Guangming Zhang (ME/ISR) has been selected as one of the Clark School of Engineering's first six Keystone Professors.
"Keystone: The Clark School Academy of Distinguished Professors," is a new Clark School initiative that honors faculty with exemplary teaching skills and commitment to fundamental engineering courses.
Keystone is a renewable three-year appointment which includes a base salary increase, discretionary funds to support the recipient's activities and additional support personnel--direct and strong incentives for great teaching.
Keystone professors make a commitment to improving education in fundamental engineering courses. ENES 100-Introduction to Engineering will be the first course covered by Keystone; other fundamental courses will follow.
Dr. Zhang has received other teaching honors during his career. In 2004 he won the Clark School's Poole and Kent Outstanding Teaching Award for Senior Faculty.
