ISR-affiliated Professor Ben Shneiderman (CS/UMIACS) has been awarded the IEEE Visualization Career Award. The award was given by the IEEE Computer Society's Visualization and Graphics Technical Committee at VisWeek 2012 on Oct. 16 in Seattle. UMIACS Director Amitabh Varshney accepted the award on Shneiderman's behalf.
