Associate Professor Pamela Abshire (ECE/ISR) is the 2011 recipient of the A. James Clark School of Engineering?s Robert E. Kent Teaching Award for Junior Faculty.

Abshire was chosen for this award for her engaged teaching methodology, her sustained commitment and development of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department?s capstone design curriculum, and her extensive involvement in advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate research projects.

She joins ISR-affiliated Professors Elisabeth Smela (ME) and Min Wu (ECE/UMIACS), Associate Professor Guangming Zhang (ME/ISR), and the late George Harhalakis as ISR faculty members who have won this award since its inception in 1986.
