Dr. Xiao-Jiang (James) Du

Dr. Xiao-Jiang (James) Du

 

Dr. Xiao-Jiang (James) Du, a 2003 ECE Ph.D. graduate, was recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at Temple University, effective July 1, 2010. He has served at Temple as a faculty member in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences since 2009. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at North Dakota State University between July 2004 and August 2009, where he received the Excellence in Research Award from the College of Science and Math in May 2009.

During his time at the University of Maryland, Dr. Du was advised by Prof. Mark Shayman.

Prof. Du's research interests include network security, mobile and secure computing, and cloud computing. He has been awarded more than $1M in research grants from the National Science Foundation and Army Research Office.
