Professor Rance Cleaveland (CS/ISR) was intereviewed for a story on Washington, D.C. WUSA Channel 9's five o'clock news on March 23.
Cleaveland was asked about the possibility that electromagnetic interference (EMI) could be a factor in the sudden acceleration problems being experienced in Toyota vehicles.
Cleaveland noted that "EMI could similarly interrupt or confuse the messages that the gas pedal is sending to the engine," says Dr. Cleaveland.
