Congratulations to ECE/ISR alumnus Xiaobo Tan, who received the Teacher-Scholar Award at the recent Michigan State University (MSU) Awards Convocation. The university-wide award is given to faculty who early in their careers have earned the respect of students and colleagues for their devotion to and skill in teaching and who have shown scholarly promise. Tan is one of only six faculty at MSU to receive the award this year.

Tan is an MSU assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2002, advised by Professor John Baras (ECE/ISR) and Professor P.S. Krishnaprasad (ECE/ISR).
