Congratulations to Professor K.J. Ray Liu (ECE/ISR), who has been elected as Vice President-Publications of the IEEE Signal Processing Society for the 2006-2008 term. This is an officer position in charge of the management of IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing, IEEE Trans. on Image Processing, IEEE Trans. Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Trans. on Speech and Audio Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine (of which Dr. Liu is currently editor-in-chief), IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and IEEE Signal Processing News Letter. This position also selects and appoints editors-in-chief, Publication Board chairs, and Executive Committee and Board of Governor members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
