Mathieu Aubailly has been appointed as an ISR assistant research scientist. Dr. Aubailly was formerly a postdoctoral researcher in ISR's Intelligent Optics Laboratory, working with ISR-affiliated Assistant Professor Miao Yu (ME), Svetlana Lachinova, and ISR Research Professor Mikhail Vorontsov.

His research areas are in the analysis and numerical simulations of free-space laser communication, anisoplanatic imaging and active tracking applications. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Michigan Technological University in 2005, specializing in signal and image processing.
