Department Chair Dr. Patrick O?Shea announced the promotion of two associate professors and four assistant professors in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
University of Maryland President C.D. Mote approved the promotion of Associate Professors Shuvra Bhattacharyya and Mel Gomez to the rank of Professor. President Mote also approved the promotion of Assistant Professors Rajeev Barua, Gang Qu, Sennur Ulukus, and Min Wu to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. These promotions will be effective July 1, 2006.
