Professor Min Wu |

Clark School Dean Samuel Graham has appointed Professor Min Wu the Christine Yurie Eminent Professor in Information Technology. Wu was selected for this endowed chair position in recognition of her esteemed research in the information security and forensics and multimedia signal processing, as well as her extraordinary teaching and leadership abilities.
Professor Wu joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in 2001. She holds joint appointments with the Institute of Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS), the Institute for Systems Research (ISR), and the Maryland Robotics Center. She leads the Media, Analytics, and Security Team (MAST), which conducts research in information security and forensics, multimedia signal processing, and applications of data science and machine learning for health and IoT. She is a UMD Distinguished Scholar-Teacher and is the Clark School Associate Dean for Graduate Programs.
In addition, Wu is an IEEE Fellow, an AAAS Fellow, and Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. She was a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA). With IEEE, she has chaired the Technical Committee on Information Forensics and Security and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Signal Processing Magazine. She is currently the President-Elect (2022-2023) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
