Professor Timothy Horiuchi (ECE/ISR) has been selected as an Elevate Fellow for 2019 by the University of Maryland’s Teaching and Learning Transformation Center. As a Fellow, he will participate in a year-long program to redesign ENEE 303 (Analog and Digital Electronics), to provide a more interactive classroom experience through design-oriented exploration of transistor circuits.
The Elevate Fellows program works with faculty to identify key goals, challenges, or areas of improvement within their course, determine student-centered, evidence-based strategies to address this goal, and assess their redesigned course.
Prof. Horiuchi joined the University of Maryland in 1999 and his research interests include bat echolocation, computational neuroscience, biologically-inspired learning systems, neuromorphic VLSI design, mobile robotics, and electronic instrumentation for neurophysiology.
