The New York Times Nov. 9, 2004 edition included a feature story on ISR alumnae Naomi Leonard, who recently was named a MacArthur Foundation Fellow. This award is internationally known as the "genius" grant.

Leonard is a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. She is a 1994 Electrical Engineering Ph.D who was advised by Professor P.S. Krishnaprasad (ECE/ISR).
