ISR-affiliated Professor Roger W. Brockett (Harvard University) is the 2005 winner of the Rufus Oldenburger Medal, a prestiigous award of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The award is given for seminal contributions to differential geometric control, robot control and minimum attention control; and pioneering work on non-holonomic systems control that significantly influenced control theorists and engineers worldwide. He will receive the award at the ASME Congress, Nov. 5-11 in Orlando.
